ABOUT OUR PASTOR

Elder Benjamin J. Winn Sr. was called into the gospel ministry at the tender age of 14 years, and preached his first sermon during his final week in high school. In 1992 he was ordained into the ministry. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Administration from Moody Bible Institute in 2011. And obtained his Masters in Urban Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2016 graduating magna cum laude. 

 

He has successfully served as a pastor of several churches throughout the Church of Christ Holiness USA for over twenty four years, including First Church in Indianapolis Indiana, Christ Temple # 2 in Ford Heights Illinois, All Nations Church in Berkley California, First Church in Norfolk Virginia and presently he is the eighth senior pastor of Christ Temple Cathedral Church in Chicago IL.

 

Beyond his pastoral responsibilities, he serves as the chairman of the National Evangelist Ministry in COCHUSA. He serves on the 5th District Pastoral SubCommittee of the Chicago Police Department. He’s a co-leader of Pray Roseland.  He is the recipient of several scholarships and pastoral awards.

 

Professionally he is a licensed Illinois and California Funeral Director and Embalmer, and in the past has served as a deputy coroner investigator for the Alameda County Sherriff’s Office in Oakland CA.

 

 Elder Winn is a passionate evangelist and pastor he has a love for people and a heart for the lost. He and his beautiful wife of twenty-eight years, Donna Renee have two children, Lauren Alyse and Benjamin Jarrid II.
